I am completing my PhD at the xAILab Bamberg, supervised by Christian Ledig, on robust machine learning for safety-critical applications such as healthcare. I recently worked as a Research Engineer intern at Helsing in Berlin, where I focused on AI safety for defense applications.

Previously, I worked on Bayesian uncertainty estimation for dedicated breast-CT scans at the Advanced X-ray Tomographic Imaging lab, under the supervision of Marco Caballo. I've also interned at NATO and AIKO, where I worked on anomaly detection in underwater communications and visual odometry in planetary-like environments, respectively.

As a side project, I co-led the development and curation of The Illustrated Machine Learning, a collection of visual explanations of machine learning concepts, currently at 650 stars on GitHub.
